Ringha is a valley of Tibetan villages though it is close to Shangri-la, it still maintains a traditional and isolated feel. We begin this half day hike with a pick-up at your guesthouse and a drive to the Ringha Valley.
From Lindu village, we walk along a quiet river and often will see some pigs, yaks, or sheep grazing in the flat valley near the river. From there, we ascend to the top of the “natural bridge” where the cliffs create a bridge over the river. At the base of the cliffs, there is a natural hot spring flowing out. Swimming pools and private baths have been built to form one of Shangri-la’s scenic areas. We can arrange for you to stick around and swim if you want (entrance fee about 45 RMB/person).
For those staying with us at Red Hill B&B, we can walk the additional 2km across the grassland if preferred.
